Dr Ikpeminoghena O. Elamah trained in anaesthesia at UBTH. As Secretary General under Dr Ofuani he co-signed the constitution adopted in December 2021 and represented ARD UBTH at NARD’s National Executive Council, before leading the association in 2022.
In 2024 he was elected Treasurer of the NMA Edo State Branch.
In office
- In February 2022 he led members in a protest at UBTH after Dr Otote Osaikhuomwan, an ophthalmology resident, was shot dead at his home in Benin City, and called on the authorities to bring the killers to justice.
- He publicly linked rising insecurity to the brain drain of doctors from Edo State and Nigeria.
Secretary General in 2019/20 and 2020/21 before becoming President.
