The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), the parent body of ARD UBTH, held its 46th Annual General Meeting in Calabar from 21 to 26 September 2026. The theme was “Resident Doctors and the Future of Healthcare in Nigeria: Advancing Welfare, Championing Advocacy, Driving Reforms.”
The meeting elected Dr Ogar Emmanuel Idoko, a family medicine senior registrar at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, as national president.
