Registration by department
Every resident doctor at UBTH can register for the members’ area and get a digital membership card. The counter shows how many members each department has so far.
Updated live. Counts include approved members only.
Timestamped every day
Each night the register’s new entries are fixed in the Bitcoin blockchain through OpenTimestamps, a free and open timestamping service.
Every step of a membership (registration, approval, a change of department, suspension) is written to the register as a separate entry. Once a day, a fingerprint of the day’s new entries is sent to the OpenTimestamps calendar servers, which anchor it in a Bitcoin block within a few hours.
Nothing personal leaves the website: only a 32-byte fingerprint is sent. Each member can download their own entries and proofs from My profile and check them on opentimestamps.org, which shows the date the entry existed by. No one, including the executive or whoever runs the website, can later change or backdate an entry without the proofs failing.
The day files below list only fingerprints and the counts per department, so anyone can download a day and its proof and check it the same way.
