Profile

Dr Omorogbe led the association for two terms, after serving as Secretary General. Press reports from 2015 and 2016 give his name as Dr Owen Omoregbe.

In office

  • In November 2015 the association published “Exposing the staff and patient situation at UBTH”, a statement on conditions in the hospital.
  • On 5 August 2016 he led UBTH’s residents into an indefinite local strike, saying management had failed to meet their demands. The demands were proper equipment for the hospital, lower service charges for patients and more transparency in running it.

Served two terms: 2014/15 and 2015/16, after serving as Secretary General in 2013/14. Press reports from 2015 and 2016 give his name as Dr Owen Omoregbe.
